The map shows the representative geogenic groundwater quality for 22 hydrogeological sub-regions in Germany. The typology of waters in each sub-region was based on total mineralisation and chemical composition. According to the degree of mineralisation, five classes of water were distinguished (very low, low, medium, high and high variable solution content).
